WTC Table

The goal of this skill building project was design and build a four legged table with a drawer using traditional mortise and tenon joinery and a single board. While experimenting with leg tapering methods, I found that making a long cut down the corner of a square leg made an interesting leg shape. I quickly realized that the concept for this shape is like an upside-down One World Trade Center. I designed the rest of the table around this aesthetic, with a faceted drawer front and chamfered table top.
